Curriculum vitae of Consul General, Marco Prencipe

Consul General of Italy in Osaka, Japan from 1 July 2021

Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Niger from 27 February 2017 to 30 June 2021.

In his previous diplomatic posts, he was Counselor at the Italian Embassy to the Holy See, Chief of Staff of the Directorate General for Political Affairs and Security; Alternate Permanent Representative to the Permanent Mission to International Organizations in Vienna, Head of the Commercial Section at the Italian Embassy in Tehran.

Graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Bologna in 1991. Master's in International Marketing and Commercial Development in 1993. Master's in Cooperation and Development at the School of Advanced Studies of the University of Pavia in 1999.

Prior to his entry into a diplomatic career, he held various positions in the private sector as a management training consultant, expert in rural development projects for the World Bank (Zambia, Ghana) and as marketing and personnel officer at the London Business School.
