Consular correspondents carry out subsidiary duties for the Consulate General of Italy in Osaka in the assistance of Italian citizens who are resident in areas distant from the Consular headquarters.
The duty of consular correspondent is assigned to persons extraneous to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who have the necessary requisites and act on a voluntary basis without receiving any retribution or compensation.
Consequently, the consular correspondent whose duty is directed and coordinated by the territorially competent Consulate General in Osaka, while collaborating with the Consulate General’s activities, does not constitute the primary reference point for the following consular services which are of exclusive competence of the Consulate General:
