From the *9th March 2020 all the measures taken urgently by the Italian Government ( DPCM 08/03/2020 and 09/03/2020)for prevention of the Corona virus epidemics are applied also to foreign visitors. Once entered the Country, their movement will be subject to restriction for all the national territory, if not for serious and provable business necessity or medical reason.
Some of the travelers who have obtained a Schengen Visa from this Consulate General and decided to postpone his/her trip due to this situation could get a new Visa free of charge if satisfies the following conditions:
– the validity of the Visa is between 01/02/2020 and 30/06/2020;
– the trip is not cancelled, but just postponed;
– able to present a certificate by his/her travel agency that the trip is just rescheduled and their client hasn’t received any refund;
– the Visa is not used yet for travelling in other Schengen countries.
