MARRIAGE
If you are an Italian Cityzen and got married in Japan, you must register your marriage to Italian authorities as well, even if you hold other citizenships.
In order to do so, you need to send to the Consulate the following documents:
- Application form (download here), signed by both spouses
- Copy of both spuses’ passports
- Marriage Certificate (kon-in todoke jurishomeisho 婚姻届受理証明書), apostilled by Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Information here: http://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/cs/page22e_000416.html)
- (in case one of the spouses is a Japanese Citizen) family register (koseki tohon – zenbu jikoshomei 戸籍謄本全部事項証明), also apostilled by Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Information here: http://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/cs/page22e_000416.html)
If you divorced in Japan, in order to register it you need to send to the Consulate the following documents:
- Application form (download here), signed by the Italian citizen;
- Copy of Italian spouse’s passport;
- Sobstitute decalaration (download here);
- Divorce Ruling for Japanese Court (確定判決のついた調書) apostilled by Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Information here: http://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/cs/page22e_000416.html)
- (in case one of the spouses is a Japanese Citizen) family register (koseki tohon – zenbu jikoshomei 戸籍謄本全部事項証明), also apostilled by Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Information here: http://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/cs/page22e_000416.html)o con APOSTILLE;
