{"id":969,"date":"2020-03-19T07:55:28","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T22:55:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consosaka.esteri.it\/news\/dal_consolato\/2020\/03\/covid-19-temporary-restriction\/"},"modified":"2020-03-19T07:55:28","modified_gmt":"2020-03-18T22:55:28","slug":"covid-19-temporary-restriction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consosaka.esteri.it\/it\/news\/dal_consolato\/2020\/03\/covid-19-temporary-restriction\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Temporary Restriction on Non-Essential Travel to the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting from 18\/03\/2020 for a 30 days period, entry to EU+ area from non-EU countries will be restricted.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>temporary travel restriction applies to all non-essential travels<\/strong> from third countries to the EU+ area. <\/p>\n<p>Exemption applies to following categories:<br \/>-all EU citizens and citizens of the Schengen Associated States, and their family members; <br \/>-third-country nationals who are long-term residents under the Long-term Residence Directive and persons deriving their right to reside from other EU Directives or national law or who hold national long-term visas.<\/p>\n<p>It also does not apply to other travellers with an essential function or need, including:<br \/>-Healthcare professionals, health researchers, and elderly care professionals;<br \/>-Frontier workers;<br \/>-Transport personnel engaged in haulage of goods and other transport staff to the extent necessary;<br \/>-Diplomats, staff of international organisations, military personnel and humanitarian aid workers in the exercise of their functions;<br \/>-Passengers in transit;<br \/>-Passengers travelling for imperative family reasons;<br \/>-Persons in need of international protection or for other humanitarian reasons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Starting from 18\/03\/2020 for a 30 days period, entry to EU+ area from non-EU countries will be restricted.
